A little door on your desk, just for your people.

Friends and family knock with GIFs, photos and voice notes. They only show up on Pip, and they play once.

  1. Pip glows. Green when it's someone you love.
  2. Knock twice. Two taps on the glass, whenever you're ready.
  3. Hold to knock back. Their Pip knocks, so they know.

Your phone lets everyone in.

Every app, every ad and every stranger can buzz you for free. So it never stops, and the people you love get lost in the noise.

Pip is a door with a guest list. Your people walk right in. Everyone else has to knock, and it costs them something.

Knock on a real Pip.

Zach made Pip. His is on his desk in Carlsbad, California, right now. Send him a knock from here: it glows on his Pip until he knocks twice to open it.

If he's at his desk, he might knock back, and this page will knock on you. Leave it open.

Better in pairs.

Keep one, and give one to the person you'd most like to hear from. When Mom knocks from her Pip, yours glows. Hold yours, and hers knocks back.

Who knocks.

Three kinds of knocks, and you always know which is which.

Your people, free.

Your partner, your mom, your best friend. They knock from the Pip app with a GIF, a photo, a few words or their voice. It lands on your Pip, glows green, and plays once when you knock.

Strangers, who pay you.

Anyone with your Pip link can knock, for the price you set. A recruiter, a founder, a fan. Worth reading, because it cost them.

Pip, for you.

Your morning, your evening, the reminders you asked for, and a funny GIF whenever you knock for one.

It only happens on Pip.

It plays once.

Knocks never show up in an app or a feed. There's nothing to scroll back through, so every one feels like a letter.

Bump to be friends.

Knock two Pips together and they're friends. No usernames to trade, no requests to accept.

Open later.

Send a knock that waits for Friday, or a birthday. Their Pip shows it's on the way, and it opens right on time.

The best way to reach someone you don't know.

DMs get buried. Emails get filtered. A knock on Pip gets heard, because it's the only thing on their desk, and it cost you something to send.

You get your own Pip link for your bio, your site or your email signature. People you haven't added pay the price you set to knock, and you keep 80%.

You set the price

$1, $5, $50, or turn it off. Your circle always knocks free.

Spam stops making sense

Nobody pays $5 to send you junk. The knocks that come are the ones worth reading.

Small enough to hold.

  • It fits in your palm. About 6 cm on each side, made for a desk or a nightstand.
  • It's completely dark when nobody's knocking. No badges, no red dots, nothing to check.
  • It only listens while you hold +. The rest of the time, the microphones are off.

Questions.

What is Pip, exactly?

A little door for your desk. The people you love knock free from the Pip app. Anyone else knocks from your Pip link by paying the price you set. Pip shows each knock once, when you knock to open it.

Do my people need a Pip?

No. They send knocks from the Pip app on their phone. If they have a Pip too, they get your knocks on theirs, and you can bump Pips to become friends.

Why don't knocks show up in the app?

On purpose. The app is for sending. Knocks only land on Pip and play once, so there's no feed to check and nothing pulling you back to your phone.

How do I get paid?

You keep 80% of every paid knock. Cash out to your bank any time.

What else can Pip do?

Hold the + button and ask. Pip can set a reminder and knock when it's time, look something up and knock with the answer, or keep a note for your evening update.

Is Pip listening to me?

No. The microphones are only on while you hold the + button.

Does it need my phone?

At home, no: Pip runs on Wi‑Fi. Away from home, it borrows your iPhone's connection over Bluetooth, with nothing to set up.

What's inside?

A 2.16 inch 480 × 480 touch AMOLED screen, a speaker and two microphones, a motion sensor that feels when two Pips bump, Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth, and USB‑C power with an optional battery.

What's the first batch?

500 Pips, numbered #1 to #500. Your number is your place in line when they ship, and your Pip shows it when it starts up. Every friend who joins with your link moves you up five places.

How much is Pip?

Pip will be $79. Claiming your name and your place in line is free.
